This is my first post, so i wanted to do something good. I was wondering around Yokosuka on Google Earth and I took some snapshots of the real Dobuita.
I also took a couple of Sakuragaoka (which I realized was miles away from Dobuita).
I went through thousands of traditional Japanese house photos and found some that look similar to Ryo's home...
I also found a photo of a Tomato Convenience Store, it was taken from a video shot in Shanghai, China. "Anatano conbini tomato." Too bad it's the only photo I can find of it.
For effect I added photos from inside a typical Japanese convenience store (not Tomato). Unfortunately, they do not sell cassette tapes, batteries, candles or light bulbs. And if you hand the clerk an empty soda can, they'd likely show you where the trash is located or call 110 on you.
Space Harrier was a fun game when i was a wee-lad. So I put the real one in the video to just sample how much detail Yu put into his game.
In total i spent a good 3-4 hours collecting photos and 1 hour making the video. This video makes me wanna play the game.
Now... let us finish what Ryo started. Who's with me!?
Wait... imma get some capsule toys and 12 sodas first... then we can go.
