If a remake or sequel is ever made, they seriously need to recast a majority of the voice talent if not all of it.

Yeah but they should also leave the Jap voice track on it too, although in a strange way I would miss the campness of the original dub. Toms voice is possibly the best thing ever.

They need to keep Corey Marshall though!
also Lan Di and Iwao Hazuki's voice actors were great, as were lots of other important characters
it was mainly the lesser characters voices that sucked
Also in Shenmue II (i know wrong forum, but same subject) the voice acting seemed to take a nosedive in quality, even compared to Shenmue I's (which wasent great in the first place) , in S2 even the major characters voices sucked!! in fact even Corey Marshalls voice acting seemed to suffer!

Terry had an awesomesauce voice. The rest were great in a cheesy bad martial arts film dub way. I enjoyed them, and wouldn't have liked the game near as much in Japanese with subtitles  |

Yeah that's understandable, I mean some of that stuff was beyond brilliant, such as :
She seriously called him a twit! I think this may be the only game ever made to feature the word!
It is part of the charm, but if I had a choice I would probably still choose the (only slightly) more accomplished Jap dub. Corey was a bit of a plank...or at least his voice sounded like one..
