I saw the following conversation on Twitter yesterday:
"How much are they asking for Shenmue on PSN?"
"It's gonna be around $20 apparently."

Twitter's suspended another satellite account, which I thought I was being more careful with but apparently not. Their criteria's really quite absurd. I was under the impression Twitter was a more open communications tool than Facebook, but that's proving not to be the case.

Part of their problem is the overabundance of stores. The town where I work has a Gamestation and two GAMEs all within walking distance of each other. They'd serve the same number of customers with just one of these stores, two at the most, so they're wasting good money on expensive shop rental and extra staff they don't need. The town where I went to uni was the same, and it is elsewhere from what I hear. That's a lack of basic business management.

Yesterday I ordered Mortal Kombat and Sonic Generations, as well as a WWE All Stars Brawl Pad by MadCatz (same as the Street Fighter ones, but with a stylized Hulk Hogan and John Cena instead of Ryu/Blanka/Chun-Li). Kind of annoying that only the PS3 version is wireless, but I think I remember hearing that's a limitation imposed by Microsoft?

You're both right about the timing being off at the moment. Maybe something to keep on the back burner for now.
As far as giving the money to Yu Suzuki goes, that would be pointless without a guarantee that Shenmue 3 was possible with a certain amount of donations, and even with that, what if we didn't reach that required figure? That kind of thing has to be done through Kickstarter, where I believe the money is only pledged until there's enough to be worth actually taking, and it would need to be set up with Yu's direct involvement to ensure the money would actually be used.

Here's an idea, but feel free to call it crazy.
One of Sega's concerns about releasing or re-releasing any core Shenmue products (be it Shenmue HD or Shenmue 3) is obviously their doubt that enough people would buy it. For all the begging they've been subjected to for the past decade, they must wonder how many of those people who vote for Shenmue in website polls would actually put their money where their mouth is if the game were to hit the marketplace.
So what if we were to set up a charity fund where people could donate the average price of a videogame (maybe somewhere between the expected prices of Shenmue HD and Shenmue 3), proving that this money is there to be made. It would show the same willing as a Kickstarter appeal, but as Sega would never launch such a thing, the money would instead be donated to a relevant cause - perhaps an orphanage group in Japan, as the loss of Ryo's father is the impetus for the Shenmue story.
Fans would essentially be buying a virtual Shenmue game, one that doesn't exist, but in doing so they demonstrate a genuine demand for the real thing.
Donations would be processed through a recognised service like Just Giving, to allay fears of it just being a scam - everyone would know that their donations are going to the named charity.
Is this monstrously stupid, or something worth doing? If you have any ideas to help make it work, share them. But don't spare my feelings if you think it's a waste of time.

Tweets '@' Sega will be fine, as they're reasonably spaced apart and not treating Sega as one of many recipients of similar posts. I think Twitter takes a dislike to sending a string of tweets to various strangers, which is how it will look when tweeting those old followers with links to the new account. It basically apes the behaviour of a marketing spambot.
I'm just going to have to be more patient and send only one or two messages at a time. Whether I can complete the list of ex-followers that slowly before getting well and truly fed up remains to be seen.

So, I started off with two "satellite" accounts for tweeting previous followers with news about the replacement Team Yu account, and they've both been suspended after just 3-4 tweets each. Which is just a little bit ridiculous. But that's exactly why I opted to use satellite accounts instead of the main one for sending '@' tweets - hopefully it's only these ones that get shot down, and not the mothership.

New Twitter account: twitter.com/TeamYuNeedsYOUI also had to reupload my video after editing the Twitter username shown in it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjqxyNFxLAkTomorrow the effort begins to bring all the old followers back on board to the new account. Fortunately I saved all the emails that Twitter ever sent me announcing a new follower, so I've got a record of each one to contact.

I'm guessing it's whichever has the tinted windows.
Or maybe I'll be walking round the neighbourhood asking: "That day... Did you see a black car?"
