As closely related as the two campaigns undoubtedly are, if there's any justice in the world that one will fall on its arse harder than the man himself on an icy footpath.

That's what it's all about, the cause ain't gonna promote itself! I don't have enough time to do as much proactive publicity as I'd like to, but when an opportunity presents itself, damn right I'll take it.

It would have been a dream scenario for us, and hilarious watching the childish reactions of those with a format bias. Alas, that day eludes us for now!

It would be a rather cool trinket to have, but I wouldn't personally pay five hundred quid for it. Hope it goes to a fan though, rather than a general gaming collector.

Fake Shenmue-UKs? But... I mean... isn't that like making fake Panda pops?

Thanks for checking Pat. Doesn't work on my computer but I've had similar problems before.

Just discovered this on Google, and recognised some of the names. Any connection to Shenmue UK?

The Nintendo thing seems to have been another lame hoax. Can y'all please test this link for me and tell me if the music player works?

Since Pat is obviously turning a blind eye to this thread, I'd just like to congratulate you on becoming the first officially endorsed Scottish kitchen sales specialist of Shenmue UK. It is a much coveted position and will do your legitimate business no end of good.

November statsNot very encouraging. Retweeting continues to improve, but the number of participants took a real hit this month. We're still way, way up from where we were before August, but we can't let this become a downward trend. On a more positive note, there's this - a possible clue that Nintendo has listened to the fans, albeit very much a rumour that may have zero legitimacy.

I've just completed Beyond Good & Evil (I got the HD version from Xbox Live Arcade). This game should not have passed me by for so long, as it's just my cup of tea. Top quality from beginning to... almost the end.
The actual victory is very unrewarding, as there's little in the way of celebration or congratulations. It left me unfulfilled, and though it eventually teases a sequel, I don't think that's an excuse to deny the player a proper pat on the back. It's not like Shenmue where you knew the "end" was nothing more than a checkpoint before the same quest continued in the next game.
Another little gripe is that it doesn't let you return to the main game world and try the mini-games/explore the areas that you missed. I don't see why they couldn't have done that. Reloading your last save point just takes you back to before the final battle, with the only sign that you've already won being an unlocked Achievement.
Those complaints aside, it's a great game. If you haven't played it, I'd describe it very lazily as something like a cross between Zelda and Ratchet & Clank, with a mature storyline on top (by which I don't mean strip clubs and guns). Buy it, enjoy it, just don't expect the same satisfaction from the ending.

Well if you had a palindromic name like MilliM then you might get more attention. I hereby rechristen you TaT.

We use the same numerics in the States and in England!? FUCKING NUTS Make it a "count to a billion" thread and prepare for World War III. Don't worry, we'll have plenty of time.

Ask this guy, I think he's pretty into ripping textures from the game.
