Prior to my departure from the 'Dojo, I developed a topic praising UbiSoft for the 3 extra levels they brought us for Splinter Cell. Add-on levels are nothing new to PC gamers, but for console gaming, it's a remarkable feat and a welcome feature! This is something that was mentioned since the dawn of the XBOX era and has only been utilized sparingly.
The Kola Cell, Vselka Infiltration and Vselka Submarine levels for Splinter Cell are phenomenal. I, as many others, thought these rumored add-ons would be simple cut-and-paste jobs, but this is FAR from the truth! Not only is each level completely new and painstakingly crafted, there is also TONS of new voice narration, and enemies with NEW weapons as well!
As XBOX gamers, how do others feel about these add-ons? Is there cause for concern in that developers can ship a partially completed or buggy game which they later plan to patch PC-style? Or do you enjoy and welcome these additions to the games that you already know and love?
