Did you fail it the first ever time you did it???
I must confess that i did, its quite a trick, the first QTE in the shenmue games where you are suppossed to NOT press anything
that big A on the screen just makes you wanna press it LOL

Damn right I did, failed it two times. Pressed it a second time thinking I must have been to slow first time, and every time at that scene I want to press it so bad...

I think it's fair to say we all failed this QTE the first time.
I mean, the whole game and the entire game previous trained you react to the QTEs, and it gives you ages to press the button.
It's a nice little metaphor for that part of the Wude, which was that you should only react when it is necessary if I remember it right.

You win the QTE by doing nothing.
All I was saying is that it's a nice little subversion to everything we've had to do with QTEs up to that moment (namely 'hit the button or get your ass kicked').
