I have to say that the xbox version is the best, mainly because of the english language but it also has improved graphics and xtra features which are cool.

I'm not going to vote, because I haven't played the Xbox version, but I'll be impartial here, HONEST Pingham The DC version may be the best, as it doesn't have the awful badly dubbed English vocals. Being in Japanese adds to the oriental atmosphere. Some argue that it kills the game experience. The game also feels much more 'at home' on the DC, how Sega wanted it to be played. Most importantly, the ability to carry over your save file is a BIG advantage. adds to the RPG and interest in the game of making your character progress how you want them. It would have been the greatest thing about the series as it progressed IMHO. Shame. Xbox has arguably better graphics. They are more detailed, although I think they look a little orangey. It's not separated onto 4 discs, though that never bothered me and added to the game to me, as it made the adventure appear more like in chapters which it's meant to be. The Xbox then is one disc I think, has a very cool feature with a camera allowing you to take photo's, and it's in the langauge we all know and understand. Crap box art but that's not relevant Overall: the DC version shades it. Though if there were an option in Shenmue 2 to switch on/off English/Japanese vocals we would be in heaven. Maybe for S3 I hope, would keep everyone happy then.

I can see where your coming from and agree to some extent but unfortunatly i cannot fully agree with you, i just cant stand having to look at the subtitles when in a cutscene, i'd rather watch the cutscene itself not the bottom of the screen! I agree some of the voice acting isent very good but most of it is fine, The guy who does Ryo's voice is ery good, and his voice makes Ryo complete for me, The Japanese guy isent as good.
