The Pharrell x Adidas Stan Smith Women “Tennis Pack II” releases on October 31st. The collection features the honored Stan Smith silhouette in three different renditions of white, orange, and tennis ball green, with each pair sporting a fuzzy felt material set to mimic the little balls used in the sport. In addition to the official unveiling of the shoe, adidas confirms another Pharrell x adidas collaborative capsule for later this year (December 1st to be specific).
It’s hard to figure out who is having a bigger year, Pharrell Williams or adidas Originals, but given the two separate fields of music and footwear the comparison is a little difficult for a clear cut winner. Regardless, the resurgence of both the producer and the Three Stripes lifestyle brand seemed like a perfect pairing for a collaborative effort so they made it happen atop
the Adidas Stan Smith Men. First there was the adidas Consortium “Solid Pack” featuring three monochrome leather finishes and now the pair returns with a felt construction to match that of a tennis ball.
Opening Ceremony brings us the third chapter of their take on the
classic Adidas Stan Smith Buy Online silhouette, and it features a straight trippy almost three-dimensional diamond pattern with hands stretching through covers the shoe. An off-white rubber sole serves a nice contrast against the bonkers upper and grey premium full grain leather detailing on the heel and Opening Ceremony-branded tongue tab is a nice touch.
Another version of the Stand Smith has surfaced, and this one goes by the name of
the Adidas Stan Smith Outlet Store Laser Cut. These Laser cut options keep their motifs at a bare minimum, with the exception of the natural leather hits strategically placed on the upper.
