So I recently purchased a copy of Shenmue and a new Sega Dreamcast because my old Dreamcast kept fucking me and my old shenmue games were fucking me. I am very excited to experience this game again since it has been so long. And there aren't many games that excite me as much every single time like this one.

I hope everyone else has been trying to adequately phrase a joke about consoles and games copulating with their human owners, and then backing out of the thread in shame when they can't quite cobble together anything witty enough.

Nice try Sweaty lol congrats on getting a new DC Joe, i also purchased a new one, as my old one was fucking me about. here she is:  Note the colour difference on the second controller connection, one of the controllers from my old console. The whole console was quite yellowed, im guessing because of when my friends used to smoke in my room next to it. |

wow, the new dreamcast you have looks great. And is it just me or does every Dreamcast just make a shit ton of noise. I don't seem to remember them being so loud but my God my dreamcast won't shut up.

They are fairly loud machines even when new , but ive noticed my new one is considerably quieter than my old one, they do get louder with age and extended use.
But then sometimes my Xbox 360 makes an absolute racket, and its the new slim one, so cant complain about the dreamcast's noise.

I don't remember the Dreamcast being as loud as it is, but I'm guessing my nostalgic memory just gleaned over the fact it sounds like a jet.
I got a VGA box recently and it looks hella nice on my HDTV. It's a step down from emulation but I don't need to worry about unexpected crashes so much.

Fuck, yeah. I just remembered how loud the freakin dreamcast one. Mine got even louder when the disk started screeching more too. Ah ya big sexy hunk a junk.
So how's the game hold up for ya Joe? Has it aged well for you? Do you apply the same critical eye to your games now too that you do for films? Has that affected Shenmue for you? Have you shaved today? If so where?
