i have a question about the story(it disturbs me)

hi , please someone explain me this:
in the game , i am after the part when Ryo rides Nozomi home. when Ryo wakes up the following morning and i read his notebook , i find this new entry :

" Nozomi is fine.

Had to promise
Terry I'd beat up
Chen Gui Zhang

Tom at 10pm go
to Warehouse #9"

i understand that Nozomi is fine and i understand the promise too but what is this "Tom at 10pm go
to Warehouse #9" doing here?
noone said a thing about warhouse 9 or 10pm.
so why is it in my notebook?
until this point this game was so logic and understandable , this is why this thing disturbs me so much.
and there is another one , after my boss fires me , i find this in my notebook: "
I should
check with
everybody..."
i dont get this one too . why did Ryo write this?
He has other things that he may do (meet the mad angels , find the son of master chen , or even find a new job . i dont see the logic in this step)
please somebody give me a spoilerfree explanation because i haven't played the game to the end yet , i am at this part that i am talking about.

ummmm let me think, its been a while since i was at that part of the game

The Tom note might be telling you to meet tom and his van is close to warehouse #9? just a guess as i know there is a cutscene where you meet him for lunch and he teaches you a move

As with the check with everybody note, i think he writes that more than once in the game & possibly even in shenmue 2
, it just means to phone your friends i think

As for finding a job, ryo doesent need nor want to, he only took that job on to get to the mad angels, which he achieved perfectly!

the problem with your theory is that , this note was added before Ryo meets Tom . we can read it after Ryo drove home Nazomi , and he wakes up in the morning.
and the "Tom" means "Tomorrow" here. Ryo often writes tom instead of tomorrow.
and by the way Tom is not near to warhause 9 at all and lunch time isn't at 10pm.
so i still don't know the reason for this writing.

about the check with everybody note : Ryo has never written the " check with everybody" before. but it could mean that Ryo wants to talk to his friends if there is no better explanation.

about finding a job , i know he doesn't really need a job , it was only an example for what more logic thing he could do.

please reply! i don't want to continue playing with this confusion

Hey , i at least know what the "Tom at 10pm go
to Warehouse #9" means

basically thats where you have to go to fight guizhang

one of terrys goons takes you to meet him, then he leaves you to fight him & the rest would be spoiling lol

yeh the check with everybody thing means to check up with all ryo's mates presumably because we are nearing the end of the game (sorry about spoiler lol)
