I wouldn't get one, they're crap. Nintendo are screwing over their 'hardcore' audience and going more for their 'Nintendogs and Brain Training audience'.
They even admitted they have no interested in non-casual games.

Im glad Sega dident do that, i'd rather have a non-console producing sega that makes good games than a "Sold-Out" version of them making "wii Fit" bollocks!!

Nah don't want one. If I wanna play tennis that involves me doing the movement I'll go out and play it, if I wanna do pressups I'll do them, If I wanna... you get the idea. I don't need a console and software to do most the stuff the Wii is hooking people with.

What I don't like, is the lack of first person shooters. There's been about three so far, which is a shame, because the controls mean people are really missing out on something.
It's funny how Nintendo was starting to lose its 'kiddy-image', then they bring out Nintendogs and Cooking Mama.

Yeh the Gamecube got them a bit of respect what with all the RE games and stuff then they go ruin it with all the bollocks they are releasing now

What's even funnier is that for a few generations they were considered the choice of the hardcore gamer, with quality games over quantity.

To be fair though, can't really say I blame them; they've discovered where the money is, and have gone in that direction. It's frustrating, but understandable.

Completely understandable. And fair play for them taking a risk n the first place with the Wii. It's just annoying instead of innovative new games that were predicted before launch it's gone almost the opposite.

It was good, but trust me the online is based around mainly luck. I don't like playing it anymore because I go in a very bad mood afterwards.

Skill is thrown out the window, it mainly comes down to what items you get.

Skill is thrown out the window, it mainly comes down to what items you get. Isnt that just how Mario Kart roles normally? Oh and you were talking about Fisrt Person Shooters on wii, have you seen or heard anything about the new FPS on wii called 'The Conduit'? I think it looks pretty impressive.

Well, put it this way: usually, the best player has a large advantage, but in wii, it seems you can get 'rare' items (such as the bullet Bill) a lot more often, taking you straight to first place. And those POW blocks make me want to shoot an orphan.
No I haven't seen the conduit, I think I've heard about it though. I'll look it up.
On another note, Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out in the UK yesterday, and a day earlier in Oz.

Ah yeah i know what you mean. suppose it is more luck than skill. I picked Super Smash Bro's Brawl on Day 1. Had a midnight launch at the local store. About 400 people rocked up to it. Which is quite surprising because the town i live in isnt that big. The wii has a pretty big following. I likes it.

I didn't have any money on launch, so I didn't pre-order. I may not get it anytime soon, depends if I see one for sale. If not I'll have to order it online. Brawl, I mean.

I rarely buy Games on release , i dont like paying £40-£50 for a game, i'd rather wait till the price go's down. Unless its something i just really want to play (i bought the new GTA on release, went halfs with a friend actually)
