I got the originals on the gba and couldn't get into them at all. The online game was pretty fun offline for an online game, but I never really go to play it on.

The online game was Really really fun online, its ashame you never got to try it!
The first PS game is considered a master system classic, though a bit dated now, ive never played the second or third but the fourth game on the Megadrive is a really brilliant old school RPG, i much prefer it over Zelda.

I've never understood the amount of love for PSO and the amount of hate for PSU... if you ask me... there's hardly a difference between either of them... it's the same basic game mechanic in a different guise. However - if you were to say... make a 2D fighter, then release about 8 trillion different itterations of it all only slightly different from eachother with different suffixes such as "Champion" and "Turbo"... critics would ejaculate all over it. Hypocritics

Hypocritics LOL yeh i have never played PSU but ive noticed most reviews on gamefaqs give it a bad score. And yes Capcoms fighting games just seem to get re-hash after re-hash, i personally prefer to play SNK's 2d fighters.

PSO probably got such good reviews for being a real pioneer in online console gaming. There was nothing like it before. With PSU it sounds like the same game again, but now with stiffer competition.
