www.polygonmag.com/news/index.php?id=1019Somehow I think these numbers are a bit high, but this is great news! At last, a viable alternative to the GBA! ****************** N-Gages Sales Figures
By Dennis Day, News Editor Published October 22, 2003 -- 04:42 pm CDT
Wireless giant Nokia revealed today that their handheld game platform "N-Gage" sold an estimated 400,000 units within its first two weeks of availability. Speaking with Reuters today, Nokia's senior vice president Ilkka Raiskinen described sales in Europe and Asia as "very strong." An estimated 5000 users per day have used the N-Gage's mobile gaming capabilities since its release. The N-Gage was released approximately two weeks ago through 30,000 retail outlets spanning several countries. Nokia reportedly plans to expand their grasp on the market by offering the N-Gage through new retail partners beginning later this year. For reference, the N-Gage retails for nearly triple the retail price of Nintendo's GameBoy Advance platform. ********************

Browsing the N-Gage section on Gamespy today, I came across a brief article that suggests Nokia may cut the price of their N-Gage system to $199... www.gamespy.com/ngage/news.shtmlKeep in mind that this info is gathered from the ultra-unreliable rumor site, Magic-Box, so don't get your hopes up. If this somehow DOES pan out, then I will purchase an N-Gage as soon as the price drop goes into effect!
