I know, I know! Not exactly newsworthy stuff, but I'm excited as you can tell! ;D I've wanted one of these cool little units for quite some time, and today my minty fresh CDX complete with box and all the pack-in software arrived at my office! I can't wait to try this fascinating little system when I'm finished with work tonight!

that looks neat! have u tried it out yet jacob? Yep! It's awesome too! I can't believe how small and compact (well, by 1993 CD player standards) this console is...a little bigger and less bulky than the portable Nomad, but with Sega CD support too! SO well designed too! Pop in 3 AAA batteries and it even becomes a portable CD player! ;D Wow, too bad this didn't come out in 1991 instead of 1993...it would have sold by the truckload! Possibly the last great Sega system made! I'm ecstatic!!

so when playing it all you have to do is plus it into the telly, no bulky plugs, cool! Actually no. You plug it into your TV like any other console with the video output cable and the A/C power adapter. THe battery option is only if you want to use it as a portable audio CD player. While still a cool unit regardless (considering it has cart and CD capabilities in such a tiny unit!), you have to remember that this came out in 1993, so limitations did exist in terms of making this a completely portable system. Still, it's a super cool little rarity that looks great sitting in my entertainment center console and the fact that it has so many cool features in such a compact system makes it even more worthwhile! Another bonus...it ships standard with stereo A/V cables is a bonus as all other Sega 16-bit systems came with the crap RF cables standard!
