You can go anyway, I'm pretty sure the one with Nozomi can be activated before hand though, cause I remember not doing that bit first time and I did second time really early. Could be mistaken.

No youve got to get the one outside the tomato mart to activate the park one but on the shenmue movie the park scene is at the beginning which is why you might be getting confused
anyway, whats the most amount of yen that your wage go's up to per crate?
