Do you think they should re-release shenmue 1 on xbox, ps2 or gamecube or all consoles? i think they should release shenmue 1 on all the current systems with upgraded graphics. that would rock, especially for xbox as the graphics could be much better and you could also continue your shenmue 1 save to shenmue 2 and to shenmue 3!

However cool this would be it will probably never happen.
First it would cost SEGA a ton of money which they don't have and if they did they would have to be sure it would sell cause doing that would put them in debt and the game would have too sell well to get em out of it.
If they do plan to do that we might be waiting even longer!

It shouldent cost Sega too much money to re-bring out since the game has already been made and has the english voices. thye just need to tranfer it to xbox/gc/ps2 and maybe upgrade the graphics and other things slightly. i think it would do the dreamcast justice though if this game remained exclusive to the dreamcast.

I don't think they will do it as it would cost too much money and wouldn't return enough profit. SEGA are in the process of restructuring their corporation and leaning more towards arcade developent to keep a very healthy profit margin. CAPCOM on the other hand, can just re-released all the PSONE Resident Evil's with ease, it takes less effort and strictly speaking, it's more popular than the Shenmue series. In truth, why they keep re-releasing them (they are years old) and at top whack prices is beyond me.
I think all three games should be released together on the next gen consoles like PS3 or the next Microsoft, an anniversary package with a making of and extras, touched up graphics, save carry on to next game etc
You just want it on Xbox because you've got one now lol

Well, we all know Shenmue has been made into an X-box exclusive, so we have to just wait and See. I doubt the Am2 team will have the budget to re-release the Shenmue 1 game onto the X-box if they are even struggling to make the third game

i dont think it would cost too much money, because when shenmue 3 comes out they will make shitloads of money from it, seeing as how shenmue is growing more popular, and if all three games were to be on just one console, people would be more inclined to buy it. That was the problem with shenmue 1 hardly anybody had a DC so it didnt get much coverage.
