he created it after leaving after the last drama, despite making 2 posts though 1 was "call of duty is great" or something like that his timing and sig were pretty much givaways (he had a bunch of gifs he used on a regular basis)
I don't think I'll go back to the dojo, the way how everyone sucked his dick after banning me put me off that place but I still talk with ziming and make contributions (I helped translate a few of the french toulouse game show articles and shenmue movie upload) so I might return as a contributor later on

It's going to be very hard for Ryudo to build a worthwhile community (as opposed to it being a dojo mini me) on his new forum. I hope he does well with it though. Or I hope he gets out there and discovers there's a lot more to life than computer screens. It seemed to me that being a mod at the dojo was pretty much the most important thing he had, so I hope losing his modship will prove to be beneficial to his life, as opposed to negative. Spending that much time at the dojo would make anyone start to lose the plot.

Have you seen pictures of Ryudo? He definitely is someone that is socially inept. He takes his hobbies to extreme levels. His life revolves around gaming and the internet. He doesn't have a healthy mix of interests that could do him any sort of good in the world. He needs a serious discovery to come along and open his eyes to a new life.

Been lurking on and off for a few years, figured I'd post. I'll touch on the Dojo since it was a hot topic in this thread. When I took over, the forum was more or less a bunch of drivel being spit that overshadowed the legitimate contributions made over the years. I took over because I love Shenmue and wanted our number one resource to be useful, welcoming and presentable. As many liberties I was given with the site, the community was a very touchy subject. Any form of change stemmed an outrage from a select few members. Despite many members being supportive and helping aid the advancements, a few really put a damper on things and the poorly run community was not helping. After some genuine work, I allowed it to more or less take it's course intervening only to keep the staff on the same page (which it clearly never was). The problem here is I was handed a staff, I wasn't allowed to pick a cohesive unit from the start. If I had, it would have taken shape much earlier. Thankfully, that era is now done with. After enough idiocy, enough was enough. The staff was redone and the community fully backed the decisions. Through time I think we all started to understand each other and what was needed for the site. To be on the same page meant a lot and allowed me to finally administrate the direction of the not just the site, but the community as well. Along the way a few may have left, but in recent times we've gained so many more. The community finally matches the website in being a fresh and resourceful place for Shenmue and other topics. I personally enjoy browsing the topics again, something I haven't been able to do in quite some time. Just to clarify it was actually Yama that was mad about that. He saw it as an abuse of the sacred thanks button and he got all mad at me over it. . oh yeah I know it was yama who removed all the thanks you gave me, but later on I actually became part of the top 3 through legit thanks, this pissed him off so he removed all the thanks he ever gave me putting me down to 6th or something like that Pissed me off? Hilarious. I don't even know you enough to care. It's such a fun thing to throw someones name out there when you think they'll never see it. The thanks leader board was originally intended to thank members like LanDC, Kiyuu and anyone who followed for their grand contributions to the community, hence why I didn't want it tarnished by stupidity. Though obviously it took a different course and is handled with a grain of salt now. I never was bothered by your placement nor did I even notice. If you ever have a problem, hit me up. Plain and simple. I'm down to earth and respond to any and all PM's. I have no issue with you and sincerely don't know one thing about you other than hearsay (something I rarely pay attention to anyway). I do however know of the alternate account (luls) but really don't care regardless, your main account was unbanned when I took over (go figure, talk some more... ironic) and you can feel free to post any time you want. It's a fresh start after all. |

Anyway, even since things sort of came to a head and you started giving your side of the story, I do now understand the sort of lose-lose situation you were put in, thanks primarily to a few stubborn community members. And I'm sure you can also understand why I felt the way I did. What's done is done now, and I do agree with you that the dojo now seems like it's in a better place than it's been in since.....well it's better than it's ever been since I've been on the scene, hence why I now enjoy posting more! So let's just leave the past in the past. South Carmain, right? Ha, I knew it! |

I was talking about ryudo, this was long after you removed all the thanks from ginefners, I don't think you ever gave me a thanks let alone remove yours, as for my account it was deleted, all my posts are under the name panda rapist and that account doesn't exist on there, I tried to log on to say hello but it gave me the message for both gboy and panda_rapist @mue I had an alternative account which was onizuka, it got deactivated one day anyway Edit: ahh no I know what he is talking about, my account was actually called luls I forgot about that, I made it to give ryudo a piece of my mind when he was constantly bashing me but he erased my post then banned me, sorry to disappoint you thou mue, I'm not south carmain |

That's true, but he does live in Hackney, travels alot, recently got engaged, likes game designer or programming, is from Russian ancestry, got annoyed at Ryudo for insulting his Russian ancestry, and also has some connection with Scotland (which I think you might do to?)
