Exactly! I don't get how these people can declare Shenmue dead without a shadow of a doubt in an era when we are seeing all kinds of unlikely gaming comebacks, and claim to be the voice of reason. It's just the few typical miserable internet users you get anywhere, who would rather everyone else be as apathetic and miserable as themselves.

Guys, what Sega Dreamcast games have so far been released on XBLA in total?
Apparently from what I heard they were going to release up to 20 HD Dreamcast ports, just wondering if that number has already been reached.

I'm not sure but I'll be surprised if there have been that many already. Some of them may have depended on sales of those released so far, so if for example Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure don't meet certain targets we might not see Skies of Arcadia, etc. Which would be a little silly because of the differing demographics, but it's the kind of logic I've come to expect from Sega.

I think so far there are 6 but just wanted to double check: Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing, Space Channel 5 p2 & Sonic Adventure 1&2. But then again I've also seen Rez on the Xbla listings as well so I'm confused. We have about 14 titles supposedly left to add and I'm just trying to imagine a Dreamcast HD collection of 20 titles excluding Shenmue and how awkward that would look seeing as it was among one of the top four bestselling titles for the system.

It's already an odd an glaring omission if you ask you me, considering how it's far and away the most demanded of all Sega re-releases.
Good write up (as always) on the tweetathon just gone Sweaty. I too noticed that Razor company tweeted, which was nice considering they have a shit load of followers.

It would be as glaring as not having Goldeneye, Ocarina or Super Mario in a 20 title Nintendo 64 HD collection. What they have released so far I can understand (except for Bass Fishing) seeing as they too are very popular titles, but there is only a matter of time before they get to about title number 10 and realise that Shenmue is the only remaining highly successful/popular one left among a swamp of generic stuff that hasn't aged well and would not sell.

That's true Johnny, and we'll all be there to call them out on it when they reach that stage if Shenmue HD doesn't then materialise.
So which other games would you expect to see between now and that point of no return?

I think Powerstone, Skies of Arcadia, Soul Calibur, House of the Dead and possibly Marvel vs Capcom. Then I cant really think of other games that were ground-breaking for the Dreamcast - though D2 is also pretty good. That would then leave Shenmue standing like a big elephant in the room.

Apparently they were meant to be doing a Dreamcast 20 title HD collection on XBLA/PSN. So far around 6 titles have been made and now they are diverting into older titles for digital release, so its confusing. I was just saying if they were to finish this Dreamcast digital collection I wonder what titles would be released as it would be hard not to have a Dreamcast collection without Shenmue, one of the top four best selling games for that system. Meh, who knows?

If you guys are interested, there's a photo collage being put together at Shenmue500K, with people holding up letters spelling out the campaign hashtag. The chap organising it has asked me about you specifically, Johnny. But anyone can volunteer to fill the last few spots, if you're happy to put your ugly mugs on the interwebs. Here's the sign-up thread with examples of the type of photo required - mue, if you want to get involved I can act as go-between since you're not on Facebook.

Read towards the end - some of the volunteers flaked, so spots have opened up again.

You're very welcome. I've been told your letter is a lower case 'e' - you've seen the examples so probably know what to do now, but any questions just ask.

I must not have told you. I've "liked" Team Yu though (one of only three things I've "liked"). Feel free to "add" ya boy: www.facebook.com/chris.chabra.52?ref=tn_tnmnAs for this picture thing. Souns interesting but I will have to check it out tomorrow when I have more brain power, but I'm not sure about having my mug attached to anything (I'm rather camera shy)
