Don't forget to be patient, though, John. Building up momentum will take a little bit of time. You should carry on trying to promote the idea on any other forums and social networks you use, for one thing. Although, it is obviously good to kick around ideas.

I am a member of several Sega based and General Gaming forums so ill probably make a few promotion topics on them for the campaign
will also make a post about it in the Shenmue 3 topic on the official Sega forums, and finally will also hit up IMDB's Shenmue I & II pages telling users on there about Team Yu

Well I just sent an email to all leading UK newspapers and all leading gaming magazine editors right now about our campaign. Check it: Dear Sir/Madam My name is Jonathan and I am a representative of the website Shenmue UK. I am writing to ask whether you may be interested in shining some publicity on our recent 2012 joint campaign effort involving the groups Team Yu and Shenmue500k. Team Yu is a campaign that I have helped administer into action and its purpose if for the urging of Sega to give the Shenmue license to Yu Suzuki, so that he can explore other funding options for Shenmue III. Whether that’s knocking on the doors of other publishers, crowd sourcing donations through Kickstarter.com as Minecraft and other games have done successfully in the past and at present are still doing, negotiating an exclusivity deal with one of the console manufacturers or a combination of these. Yu Suzuki the creator of the Shenmue series is passionate about making this sequel and concluding his story, but Sega seem disinterested and even resentful towards the franchise. That’s their right, but we believe it’s unfair of them to hold onto the license if they don’t intend to produce the game that fans have been waiting over a decade to play. Were trying to gather support on Facebook and Twitter (and beyond), encouraging fans to back Yu Suzuki and pressure Sega into doing the right thing. Team Yu focuses on this very specific goal of liberating the Shenmue license, rather than continuing the vague pleas for Shenmue III that have been ignored for the past 10 years. Appealing to Sega to make the game themselves simply isn’t working, and we believe this is the key issue that needs to be resolved before any real progress can be made. In February 2012, thanks to myself personally establishing a partnership proposal, the Team Yu campaign joined forces with the older Shenmue 500k Campaign, together they have forged a partnership to support each other and thus give more resounding voices. We are appealing to any fans who are reading this to join in with the campaign, check out the Facebook & Twitter pages and also the forum topic on how to help and with any idea's you might have on how to get Sega's attention. If you could support our joint organisation of 2012 campaigners to yield as much publicity and support as we can, we may just be able to end the Shenmue fan base pleas that have been so loyal to Sega eagerly anticipating the sequel a very happy ending. I have attached a link of our campaign webpage on the Shenmue UK website including a promotional video created by myself under the names JohnnyBravoBoy and ShenmueOracle2012. Please support us in any way you can. We are one of the most dedicated fan bases who have been left in the dark for far too long and we would now like some resounding voices to allow Sega to grant Yu Suzuki the permission he both wants and requires to make Shenmue 3, rather than the license sitting in their headquarters not being used for any good measure. www.shenmue-uk.com/Team_YuWarm regards and much cordial thanks! Jonathan #GiveYuTheShenmueLicense

That's it actually... As Patrick and I are doing, let's all go our separate ways, post post post team Yu on whatever things we are members of or we post to places other members are not. Patrick is doing the Sega forums and other gaming forums including shenmue3campaign and the other website...I contacted the advertising and sell your story bits on all newspapers and gaming magazines (xbox,ps3 ect...) , so if anyone else knows of other things pat and I haven't yet done then go for it. Btw: sweaty, pat, mue26 and myself - that's four people actively campaigning now . See how were growing

Hmm at the end of each month? That's good mate but don't you think that'd be rather long. How about every fortnight/end of every week? Just thinking, correct me if it silly. But yeah that's really good we got more people. Perhaps I'm jumping the gun but maybe if team Yu does well from now on we would eventually include the Japanese fan bases as well to target all of Sega globally, respectively.

Has anyone else heard of a new game in development called Capcom vs Sega? It shall apparently feature Ryo Hazuki as a fighter. Sega all stars racing did a similar thing 2 years ago. Hmm so much Shenmue recently. Too much in fact. Wonder if Shenmue 3 might be coming sooner than we think.

I'm still waiting on those Alex Kidd and Fantasy Zone revivals that Sega Superstars Tennis surely heralded.
