Bu Yeah, she's gutsy and all, but personally I thought that was a wee bit unnecessary. She could have at least expressed herself in a more articulate and less angry manner.

Would she has been given a platform to be able to express herself more articulately though back then? And her (justified) anger no doubt didnt help come to a clear judgement. It's a smidge before I could remember things so I don't know if the child abuse was even mentioned around those times? Clarify the thoughts on the subject back then, mue

I don't know, I think someone like her probably would have been given a platform to articulate herself eloquently, had she actually wished to do so. Though, you are right that her rage did probably cloud her judgement, especially as she's been suffering from depression throughout her life, I believe. Still, it doesn't mean I liked her attitude. There was and is already enough righteous religious rage ( the triple R) in Ireland, so I don't see how more would have been particularly helpful.
Bloody hell, I feel like a turncoat...I hope Sinead never reads those words of mine, she might question my devotion.

Ah that's somewhat fair enough so. My musing (see what I did thar??) was assuming that it was still very much a taboo subject, especially in Ireland, to speak anyway negatively about the church.
