Let's face it folks. The arcades are just about empty these days. The 80's and 90's were better. These days most people seem to play more at hom than at the arcades.

No way, I much prefer playing at home than having people stand around me when I'm trying to play a game.

I fully agree. At least you don't have to put quarters in your game console.

Anyone played wwf the arcade game? No, but i own the port of that game on Megadrive. it was released on saturn aswell i believe. I completed that old simpsons game with a friend I played it in an arcade where it only cost 10p a credit. Most of the games in the arcade have the slight edge on Graphics. I love playing games in arcades, it just seems more fun, i even had more fun on Virtua tennis 2 in the arcade. Everytime i go to brighton i spend rather a long time playing arcade machines, Sega actually have there own arcade there which is next door to a burger so when i get hungry, bring on the burgers! I think ill go to arcades more when i finally get my driving licence.

i completed the other day dj boy on the megadrive, apparently that was an old arcade game. even though it don't look great, but it's kinda styled like streets of rage, but it's kind of like for kids, but i think it's good game, anyone heard of it in arcade?

I played some arcades down at the Bowlplex after Mi:3 and they rock. Time crisis is outdated. GHOST SQUAD - A light gun, a G36c Rifle that rocks. You gotta play it.

Exactly, I played the arcades long before I had a console. In the early 80s any console worth its salt had the "arcade authentic" claim on their game carts. Arcade standard was the gold standard, most of the games on console were arcade ports, but when consoles went 16 bit the reason for playing in an arcade weakened.

The atmosphere of an arcade is still unbeatable. However, I agree witj VCS2600, arcade gaming has weakened due to consoles improving. And with next gen on the market, we can expect to see arcades lose even more life.

I say arcades are dying. I use to go to arcades as a small kid but not much no-more as new games are never put up in arcades much these days as people and kids are finding more intresting things to do with there tim as new electronic things are out
I.e:
A playstation Portable
