I was just reading Wikipedia's Sega page and saw this: "2007 1 June 2007 After less than two years of operation in China, Sega China is rumored to be pulling out of China. According to various local media, the company sent an internal email to all its employees saying that they had to dissolve the online games business department due to inadequate operations. Each employee will get an amount of compensation depending on the duration they worked with the company and the position they took at the company, but the compensation amount shall not be less than three months' salary of each employee.[17]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SegaIf im correct i thought Shenmue Online was being developed in china so if SO is indeed cancelled this must be why!

actually i may have been wrong. NE.1 R&D Members from/ Headed by: Amusement Vision, Ltd. + Smilebit Toshihiro Nagoshi Notable Titles Super Monkey Ball series, Shining Force Neo, Yakuza (RyĆ» ga Gotoku)
AMPlus R&D Members from/ Headed by: Digitalrex Yu Suzuki Notable Titles Psy-Phi, Shenmue Online
looks like Shenmue online is being (or was) developed by AMplus R&D
still, sega havent officially cancelled it, but that guy from Kiziko said it was but he has got it wrong in the past

hmm Interesting that it's listed as Under AM+.
Am+ is working on Race Tv just now, a wacky arcade racer that runs the OutRun 2 engine.

Yeah why go to the bother of taking it down. Probably have no idea what they're doing with anything anymore.

Yep, surely if the game had definatly been cancelled wouldent they of taken down the website by now? though to be honest i dont really care about shenmue online that much, i'd much rather have Shenmue III. but if they did make shenmue online at least it'd keep the shenmue franchise alive.
